Canadian Pacific Holiday Train

Canadian Pacific Holiday Train

November 29, 2018

The CP Holiday Train is a tradition that dates back to 1999. Today, it makes over 170 stops during the holiday season.

The CP Holiday Train has raised more than $15.8 million dollars. It has also collected 4.5 million pounds of food for food banks across North America. Canadian Pacific makes a donation at each stop keeping the donations made within that community.

At each stop the train arrives pulling to a safe stop in front of awaiting crowds. The stage door in the train car lowers and a band puts on a performance lasting 30 minutes. Once the farewell song is played the stage door closes and the train moves on to its next stop.

The Holiday Train is 1,000 feet long with 14 decorated rail cars. Each rail car is decorated with LED lights featuring holiday designs.
